I just purchased the Pro Module and installed into a Joomla 1.5.26 site. When clicked, the Pin It icon opens the Pinterest popup window but there is a blank image and when you click the "Pin It" button, it is not pinned. The Pinterest popup window remains open but the description text and "Pin It" button disappear.

So perhaps this is a conflict of some kind, not the module itself. jquery? idk. I have Pin It set up on articles using a different plugin and it's behaving the same way. However, on blog posts, which is using the WordPress for Joomla component by corePHP with TF Social Share plugin, the Pin It button is working. Odd.

For Pin It to work, you have to provide a link to an image on your server. In the plugin parameters place a direct link to an image somewhere on your server like: hxtp://xww.yourdomain.com/images/yourimage.png

Then the pinit button will work everywhere now but it will have a default image (maybe your logo). Pinit unfortunately unlike facebook or other sites will not look for an image automatically.

Thanks,

Bryan

cant you implement this somehow?

javascript:void((function(){var%20e=document.createElement('script');e.setAttribute('type','text/javascript');e.setAttribute('charset','UTF-8');e.setAttribute('src','assets.pinterest.com/js/pinmarklet.js?r=...th.random()*99999999);document.body.appendChild(e)})());

Great post, I got it to work on my demo site so I am now in the process of implementing an option in both the plugins and the module that allows the choice between the standard pinit button (in which case you will have to include a url to an image in the parameters) or you can use the 'Bookmarklet' script instead. For those of you who may not know what the 'bookmarklet' script refers to, it is the script that executes when you add the pinterest pinit button into your browser. The big advantage to using this alternative script is that it displays all of the images available on the page when you press the pinit button, and the person creating the pin gets to decide which image he/she would like to use in the post.

I should be posting the update to the site either later today or tomorrow.

Thanks,

Bryan

Ok,

I added the option to use the Pinterest 'Bookmarklet' script in the latest release of 'Easy Like and Share'. It's live on the site now, ready for download.
